Come back to your own ground.
Grounded Present helps you build a home that holds you — one plant, one quiet moment, one small act of tending at a time. Not perfection. Presence.
I didn’t set out to build a sanctuary. I just kept following what made me feel like myself again.
For years I worked as a mental health therapist, sitting with people in their hardest moments. Somewhere alongside that, I started working in a garden shop, then became a certified yoga instructor, then started guiding stretch sessions for clients who needed their bodies to feel safe again too.
What I noticed, over and over: the people who felt most at peace weren’t the ones with the “right” plants or the most Pinterest-perfect room. They were the ones who slowed down long enough to actually be with what they were growing — noticing a new leaf, feeling the soil, sitting in a space they’d made on purpose.
Grounded Present is me sharing what I’ve learned about building that kind of peace — my why, my how, my own ongoing practice — so you can find your own version of it. Not mine. Yours.
Three quiet ideas this is built on
Tending is meditation
Caring for a plant asks you to slow down and notice — the same thing a breath practice or a walking meditation asks. The plant is the invitation, not the point.
Your sanctuary isn’t mine
I won’t hand you a formula. I’ll share what’s worked in my own life and space, and help you notice what actually feels peaceful to you.
Small and real beats big and perfect
One plant you actually tend to matters more than ten you bought and forgot. This is a practice, not a purchase.
The practice, in person
